IDEA

It is a contemplation of the senses and their relationship with space, a very limited place where different sensory perceptions interact. Time, ever-present, rhythmic, and constant, also appears as a controllable and shapeable sensory figure. And of course, the senses of a fragmented being representing two physical states.

RELOJ

Time passes, a dead insect, never ends…

CRACKLES

On one occasion, Jean Cocteau was asked what he would save from the Prado Museum if it were on fire. He replied, “The fire.”

In this repeated animation, set on a loop, various characters related to fire are present. And although fire itself is absent, its presence is suggested by the process of these same characters… a match, wood, paper, ashes, the wind, and, of course, the sound of crackling that lives with and accompanies each object as its natural sound. Although nothing is fire, its sonic trace is the crackling of fire. The hands are the careful yet confident presence of the gesture in the absence of fire.
