This is a book made by Silvia Hijano Coullaut from Libracos who decided to create a Zapotec dictionary “eaten” by wasps as a tribute to the recognized mexican artist Francisco Toledo’s work. The book is a journey through his life, the wasps, the Instituto de Artes Gráficas, his hydraulic mosaics, educational games and his iconic kites. All of this is intertwined with the insects that accompanied him throughout his life.
The book gives the impression of being an intervened piece, entirely perforated as if the wasps had turned it into their home.
